An article by Kristin Bigda of NFPA, which appeared in NFPA Journal, stated:\u00a0 <em><span class=\"journal-body-text\">\u201cHealthcare facilities have a lot of doors. Many doors, such as those protecting exit stairs, horizontal exits, and hazardous areas, are required to be fire-protection rated.
